Our History

Apostolic Tabernacle emerged from the vision and burden of Pastor Aaron Henson from Bethel Pentecostal Church in Evansville, IN. After initiating Bible Studies, they began holding meetings in various community centers in 2018. In January 2020, the current location was secured, and regular church services commenced. Pastor Matthew Coomer was ordained and installed as the Pastor in March 2021. We look forward to the continued growth and expansion of our Apostolic Church in the heart of Owensboro, KY, as we reach our world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

We are commissioned to preach and teach the only saving message of Salvation according to Acts 2:38 within our Apostolic Church community in Owensboro, KY. This message includes repentance of sins, Water Baptism by immersion in the Name of Jesus, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. We strive to live a Godly and Holy lifestyle while eagerly anticipating the return of Jesus for the Church.

As an Apostolic Church in Owensboro KY, we seek to worship God in Spirit and truth! Here, you will experience friendly people, heartfelt singing, worship, and anointed preaching, all part of the Pentecostal Experience. 

We offer a Sunday School class for kids, a Youth Class for Teenagers, Men's Meetings and fellowship, and Women's devotions and fellowship. Additionally, we hold a Family Prayer meeting on Monday, organize Church Outings and Fellowship, and attend Family and Youth Campmeetings.
